One of the best ways to create a family atmosphere in your classroom is to share in celebrations. Think of all the ways you celebrate with your family. Common experiences like celebration traditions brings people together. It also makes people feel loved. Celebrating with your students shows your vulnerability, which I have found is vital to building strong relationships with students. Children mistakenly think teachers are always strong and often always serious. They are usually surprised when we show our fun side. What better day to have some fun than Valentine's Day?
Celebrate Valentine's Day the easy way with these fun FREE cards. There are 4 designs featuring original animal characters by my daughter Aubrey Fitzharris. She is a Montessori child, now attending a middle school for the Arts. These cards include a 2nd page of matching colored backs so you can have the option of printing on both sides. The cards were purposely designed to be teacher appropriate messages and gender neutral.
